Was watching Dr Phil yesterday, very rare these days, and he was saying that the divorce rate in the USA was 50% and for second marriages was 75%.
So the answer would have to be, no, the majority fail. Why?
There are a number of reasons for this, basically comes down to a lack of planning. Many couples enter into a second marriage without doing their homework. They have not asked themselves the tough questions, where will we live, how will child support affect us, any matters going through the Family Law Court, what will be the new house rules for the children, etc etc.
Couples contemplating remarrying need to read as much as possible and to get themselves into a support group.
